Ethel Marie Woods

	Ethel Marie Woods, 81, of Elkville, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2001 at her residence.
	 Ethel was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.
	 She was born July 11, 1919 at Makanda, the daughter of Riley and Stella (Lindsey) Tippy.  She married Walter Woods on June 30, 1937 at Carbondale and he passed away January 4, 1996.
	 She is survived by three sons, Larry Woods of Marion, Bill Woods of Murphysboro and Jimmy Woods of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Shirley Keppner of Harrisburg and Margaret Jarvis of Cambria; one brother, Clyde Tippy of Murphysboro; a brother- and sister-in-law, Tommy and Jewell Woods of Bush, Ill.; a special friend, Harlan Sims of DuQuoin; 12 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
	She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Clifford Tippy; sister, Millie Murray and grandchild, Pamela Keppner.
	 Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 12 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Robbie Chitwood officiating.  	 Interment was in the Elkville Cemetery.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m Sunday at the Funeral Home.
